Albert App Review
Albert is a mobile finance and banking app. You can manage and invest your finances with it. By setting up direct deposit, you can have your paycheck deposited in your bank account earlier than if you were to use a traditional bank.
One cool feature of Albert is that it offers a debit card that earns cash back. Similar to CashApp, you need to activate your offer before using it.
Additionally, it’s a Mastercard World Debit Card, which offers perks you wouldn’t normally expect from a debit card. The following are a few that I believe will come in handy when shopping on a daily basis.
- Extended Warranty – doubles the length of the original merchant’s warranty, up to 2 years.
- Cell Phone Insurance – covers the cost of repair or replacement up to $200 (up to 2 claims per year), bill must be paid with the Albert Cash debit card.
- Price Drop Protection (60-Day Coverage) – If you find a lower price for an eligible new and you purchased it using your Albert Cash debit card, you may be reimbursed for the price difference. Reimbursement caps at $250 per claim (up to 4 claims per year).
For a full list of benefits and terms and conditions, refer to Master Cards’s benefit guide here. The cell phone insurance coverage is not that extensive, and there are other credit cards that offer up to $800 in claims. However, the extended warranty is top notch and the only other card I have seen that offers 2 years is the Citi Premier card.
Lastly, many premium credit cards don’t include price drop protection. There are some goods/products that are not covered if you intend to use the feature. Refer to the benefits guide.

Using this app seems to be worth it, at least for the cash back opportunities and price drop protection feature.
